Today's painting is a miniature (3x3) of a small antique cream pitcher. I bought it right here in town at an antique shop on Main St. If you could see the whole design, it's quite a scene - mountains, trees, a lake with swans, a little house. Mostly, I loved it's shape, and the old crackled blue and white glaze. I have wanted to put it in a painting ever since I got it, but it's diminutive size has never fit well in a composition yet. So, today I am letting it star in it's own painting. Enjoy!

Today's painting is a summer view of Harrisville, NH. It's a really lovely village, with old brick mill buildings around the pond. That's the library, built out right on the water.
Steve and I have a run that loops through Harrisville. We call it the "General Store Run" It's a 20 mile loop that starts at the Dublin General Store, runs to Hancock, to the Hancock Market, and then around some lovely back roads to Harrisville, where we stop at the general store there and get a bowl of soup before we run back to the start. How lucky are we to have such a great area in which to run?
