Got lots of painting to do!

These are about half of the panels I will need to complete my new painting project "60 Paintings - 60 Days".   You can read about this fun little endeavor on it's own blog page here.

I'll be painting, and posting, a new small oil painting every day for 60 days, and every painting is offered for $60 (notice a theme?)  only through this project online. I don't usually post weekends, however. We're busy training for races and working on the house and having the grandkids for a visit on the weekends, so I don't usually paint much.  I'm a week into this  project so far, and response has been great.  I'm happy to say that so far, 5 paintings have sold.  The project is to help raise funds for a non-profit organization.
You can read about the New Life Home here.  Half of the proceeds from each painting go to New Life Home.  It would be just fantastic if every painting sold and I could give a fat check to them in May!
Anyway, as you can see by the stack of panels, I've got my work cut out for me.

quick sketches

Both of these two small works were done to demonstrate a quick 5-step plan to block in a landscape and get the essence down on canvas.  I left them in this unfinished state to show that they COULD be considered "done" if you wanted to. Or, you could go on to put in more detail.
I share this 5-step plan in a landscape class I teach.  This plan is particularly helpful in working plein air, though these two sketches were done from photos, as demos for a previous class.
I think I might develop the barn scene into a larger, more finished work at some point. I liked the idea of the dappled light on it.
